Our Core Philosophy: DevLite is built by developers, for developers. We do not want your data. We use a Zero-Knowledge architecture to ensure your local vault and synced secrets remain mathematically inaccessible to us.
1. Information We Cannot Access (Your Vault Data)
If you use the DevLite Desktop App (Pro) or Cloud Sync (Connect), your tools, payloads, API keys, and drafts are stored in a local SQLite database that is AES-256 encrypted using your Master Password.
- Local Vault: DevLite does not send plaintext telemetry, code snippets, or API payloads from your local vault to our servers. Your local database is AES-256 encrypted using an auto-generated vault key, which is itself securely wrapped and encrypted by your Master Password. We never store or transmit your master password or unencrypted vault key.

2. Information We Collect (Account & Telemetry)
To operate our business and validate software licenses, we collect minimal data:
- Account Data: Email addresses and profile metadata used to manage your license and sync account.
- Device Information: Hashed hardware IDs (e.g., motherboard/MAC address hashes), IP addresses, and operating system metadata strictly used for license validation and enforcing device limits.
- Anonymous Usage: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data (e.g., "how many times was the app opened today") to help us improve stability.
3. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. DevLite does not collect, process, or store your credit card information. Paddle handles your billing data according to their own strict privacy and compliance policies.
4. Third-Party Services
We may share your account data (Email, IP) with trusted third parties strictly to provide our services, such as:
- Paddle.com (for billing and tax compliance).
- Transactional email providers (for sending license keys or password reset links).
We do not, and will never, sell your personal information or email address to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and sync profile at any time. Upon request, we will permanently delete your account metadata and the encrypted sync blobs from our servers. Note that deleting your cloud account does not delete the encrypted SQLite vault stored locally on your physical device.
